THE SERVICES
Stepping Stones offers the following services:
Clinical Reflexology — in person at Church Farm and online where appropriate
Spiritual Accompaniment — in person and via Zoom
Journey Packages — combined reflexology and accompaniment programmes
The Sacred Year — virtual pilgrimages to the Sacred Isles of Britain, delivered via Zoom
The Grief Space — a small group autumn programme, in person at Church Farm and online via Zoom
Yoga classes — Saturday morning and online
Each service is described in full on the Stepping Stones website at steppingstones.life. Descriptions are for guidance — the content of individual sessions may vary according to your presenting needs on the day.
BOOKINGS
All bookings are made via the Stepping Stones website using Acuity Scheduling, or by arrangement following a threshold conversation.
A booking is confirmed when you receive a written confirmation from Stepping Stones — by email or through Acuity. Until that confirmation is received, your place is not guaranteed.
For group programmes — the Sacred Year pilgrimages and the Grief Space — your place is confirmed only when payment has been received in full, or the first instalment of a payment plan has been made.
Stepping Stones reserves the right to decline a booking at its sole discretion, in which case any payment made will be refunded in full.
PRICING & PAYMENT
Pricing for individual reflexology sessions and spiritual accompaniment is agreed at the threshold conversation and confirmed in writing before your first session.
Pricing for the Sacred Year pilgrimages is displayed on the website in GBP. Payment is due at the time of booking unless a payment plan has been agreed.
Pricing for the Grief Space is offered by conversation to ensure accessibility. No one is turned away for financial reasons. This is a commitment, not a policy.
Payment is accepted via Stripe or PayPal. I do not store card details.
All prices are inclusive of any applicable taxes unless otherwise stated.
CANCELLATION & RESCHEDULING — INDIVIDUAL SESSIONS
I understand that life does not always go to plan. Please give as much notice as possible if you need to cancel or reschedule.

Less than 48 hours notice — 50% of the session fee is charged
No notice or no show — full session fee is charged
To cancel or reschedule, please contact me at steppingstones.life@gmail.com or via Acuity Scheduling.
If I need to cancel a session due to illness or unforeseen circumstances, I will give you as much notice as possible and offer a full rescheduling or refund.
CANCELLATION — GROUP PROGRAMMES & PILGRIMAGES
For the Sacred Year pilgrimages and the Grief Space:
More than 28 days before the programme begins — full refund less a £25 administration fee
14 to 28 days before the programme begins — 50% refund
Less than 14 days before the programme begins — no refund, but your place may be transferred to another person with my agreement
If I cancel a programme due to insufficient numbers or unforeseen circumstances — full refund to all participants
Payment plans: if you have entered a payment plan and cancel, any instalments already paid are subject to the cancellation terms above.
HEALTH, SAFETY & CONTRAINDICATIONS
Reflexology is a complementary therapy and does not replace conventional medical treatment. If you are under the care of a doctor or other healthcare professional, please inform them that you are receiving reflexology.
Before your first reflexology session, you will be asked to complete a health consultation form. It is your responsibility to disclose any medical conditions, medications, or contraindications that may be relevant. Failure to do so may affect the safety and suitability of treatment.
Stepping Stones reserves the right to decline or discontinue treatment if it is deemed unsafe or inappropriate, in which case no charge will be made.
If you are pregnant, have a serious medical condition, or are undergoing active cancer treatment, please contact me before booking so we can discuss whether and how reflexology may be appropriate for you.
SPIRITUAL ACCOMPANIMENT & THE GRIEF SPACE — IMPORTANT NOTE
Spiritual accompaniment and the Grief Space are not therapy, counselling, or psychological services. They do not replace professional mental health support.
If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, suicidal thoughts, or require urgent psychological support, please contact your GP, a mental health professional, or one of the following crisis services:
Samaritans: 116 123 (free, 24 hours)
Crisis text line: text SHOUT to 85258
NHS urgent mental health: 111
Stepping Stones is a pastoral and contemplative space. It is held with care, but it is not a clinical service.
CONFIDENTIALITY
All information shared within sessions — reflexology, spiritual accompaniment, or the Grief Space — is treated with complete confidentiality.
The only exceptions are where I am legally required to break confidentiality — for example, if there is a serious risk of harm to you or to another person. In such circumstances I would, wherever possible, discuss this with you before taking any action.
In group settings — the Grief Space and virtual pilgrimages — participants are asked to honour the confidentiality of what is shared within the group. I model this and ask it of all participants, but I cannot be legally responsible for the behaviour of other group members.
RECORDINGS & MATERIALS
Virtual pilgrimage material may be recorded for the benefit of participants only. Recordings are shared privately with participants and are not published publicly.
The Grief Space — including all Thursday Circle and Saturday Gathering sessions — is never recorded. What happens in the space stays in the space. This is a commitment to the integrity and safety of the group.
All course materials — poetry anthologies, journalling guides, meditation scripts, and pilgrimage session recordings — are the intellectual property of Stepping Stones and Rev. Lizzie Ward. They are for your personal use only and may not be shared, reproduced, or used commercially without written permission.
ONLINE SESSIONS — TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
For sessions delivered via Zoom, you are responsible for ensuring you have a stable internet connection and a private, quiet space. Stepping Stones is not responsible for technical difficulties on your end that affect the quality or delivery of a session.
If a session is significantly disrupted by technical difficulties on my end, I will offer a rescheduled session or a partial refund at my discretion.
LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
Stepping Stones and Rev. Lizzie Ward will not be liable for any loss, damage, or injury arising from participation in any session or programme, except where such liability cannot be excluded by law.
You participate in all sessions and programmes at your own risk. It is your responsibility to ensure that reflexology and the other services offered are appropriate for your individual circumstances.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
Rev. Lizzie Ward holds the following professional insurance:
Reflexology — covered by the Association of Reflexologists (AoR) professional membership insurance
Yoga and funeral celebrancy — Zurich Insurance, policy number ZUR-BBS/25/07/709

I hope our work together will always be positive. If something goes wrong or you are unhappy with any aspect of my service, please contact me in the first instance at steppingstones.life@gmail.com — I will acknowledge your complaint within five working days and aim to resolve it within 28 days.

CHANGES TO THESE TERMS
I reserve the right to update these terms and conditions at any time. The current version will always be published on this page. By continuing to use Stepping Stones services after any changes, you accept the updated terms.
GOVERNING LAW
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these terms or from the services offered by Stepping Stones will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
A PERSONAL NOTE
I have written these terms as clearly and as humanly as I can. They exist not to create distance between us, but to make the ground beneath our working relationship solid and clear. If you ever have a question about anything here — please just ask. That is what the threshold conversation is for.
